Fog in the morning, so we wonder if we will get away!
Fog lifted and we left only 30 minutes late. Our luggage was just over the limit, but we were not charged, possbly when we come back we may need to pay for some excess. Smooth passage through gatwick and on to the gatwick express, phoned Meg to say that we were on time and would phone when a couple of stops away on the district line.
got onto the tube at Victoria only to discover that it went only as far as South ken, where we had to transfer to OPicadilly as far as hammersmith the onto a Bus connection to Acton town. the first tube was a picadilly to heathrow, so we alighted at South Ealing, only an hour behind schedule and somewhat out of opuff after negotiating numerous stairs and escalators.
